Supply chain quality can be improved by applying Deming's PDCA cycle. Now , we shall discuss it for fast food restaurant:

  • Plan: A restaurant chain should better plan its capacity to meet the demand of the customers . It makes better forecast in terms of future sales and increased level of customers.
  • Do: A restaurant might launch some great facilities to its incoming customers. Even , it should launch a loyalty program to the customers which will motivate them to take more services.
  • Check: it should try to implement software like ERP so that datas and information related to supply partners, customers and employees can be analysed against the set quality parameters .
  • Act: In this step , necessary actions must be taken if any gap will be found. Even , some contingent plan must be utilzed to provide better food , some unique taste as well as best possible arrangements to the customers. A restaurant must learn from the past practices of bad customer experience/ feedback . It will help in continuous improvement.
