What are the situations that require Face-To-Face dialogue in company? (as a paragraph)
The contrast between a face-to-face dialogue and any other forms of communication represents the distinction in terms of Richness and Reach. While with other forms of communication, we are able to communicate our messages to many at a time, a face-to-face communication ensures that the richness of our communication is kept intact. Therefore, it is not an overstatement to say that face-to-face dialogues have features and dimensions that are often missing or limited in other forms of communication.
When emotions carry the substantial part of the communication, face-to-face dialogues are perhaps the best form of communication. For example, when a person is angry, upset, needs to praise or rebuke someone for some reason, a face-to-face dialogue is essential. Any other form of communication can be futile in such situations. Second, when the behavior, personality, or mood of the recipient of the communication can be predicted beforehand (e.g. for an unknown person), the initial form of communication should be face-to-face. Finally, when a person needs to apologize or cancel a previously committed proposal, it is best to offer such apology by initiating face-to-face dialogue.
