1. a. The transfer of money from one person to another in the form of a gift or a payment is known as remittance. This is generally used for transfer of money by a person in one country to other in their home country . Remittances are often seen in many parts of the world where people send money to their family at their home country .

b. An immigrant is a person who moves from one country to another for the development of their career or to find work where as a refugee is a person who goes from one country to another to save their lives. Refugees are forced to leave unable to suffer in their country because of a war or any other calamity while immigrants have choice and they leave country for their development.
