Child labor laws are the legal provisions and rights that are related to the employment and welfare of the minors and children. They are created by considering various industries and the prohibition clauses based on age for the industries. Child labor laws are provisions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and include the following -
1. Minimum age limit for employing an individual in a specific industry which highlights the maximum number of hours to be worked, hazardous nature of the work, amount of physical stress involved etc.
2. Wages to be given to children if at all they work
3. Safety and other pracautions to be taken for children at work.
4. Educational requirements of the children and how they can be fulfilled.
