Children are mainly hired in nimble finger jobs where they are made to work for longer hours and at very low wages . Child labor is a very cheap source of labor which helps in reducing cost of production . The sectors like garments , fireworks or match industry , unorganized sector etc have high incidence of child labor . In carpet making , fine garment making industry children are hired . Children also work in unorganized sector for financial assistance to their poor parents .
