In a fully developed data warehouse, searching for information should be well supported in terms of the data structure. How does the changes made to how the data is organized and stored make the warehouse poorly suited for being used as a day to day transactional system? Also, would the data warehouse be useful for general users in an organization to perform system wide queries as part of their daily jobs? Why or why not?
Data warehouses are a reference for big decisions taken by management of a business as they contain all the data regarding the organisation. It even consists of historical references and many other facts regarding the organsiation. But any single change made to this makes some of the data to be lost in it and it is very difficult to figure out what is what . For day to day activities it becomes difficult to search such small information from the vast warehouse and hence it is not suitable for day to day economic transactions and even for employees day to day queries.
