A project has different dimensions.Technical aspects of project management represents the science but socio-cultural a aspect includes the art of managing project. Sociocultural factors play an increasingly significant role in the development project management.

Technical aspects of project management includes various issues related to baseline budget , status report, resource allocation, schedule ,WBS etc . Socio-cultural aspects of project management includes issues related to negotiation , customer expectations , leadership, teamwork, problem solving , politics etc. It creates a social system within a existing organization environment and helps to unite the excellence of various professionals . A social environment should be build by project managers which can support different ideas , views , obligations with diverse standards. Technical aspects should be considered for the successful completion of the project. The project manager should also communicate the technical aspects of the project.

Various essential factors narrating people in project management are teamwork, communication, leadership, negotiation, problem solving, behavioural characteristics and conflict management.

To succeed, the project manager must master the two aspects of project management i.e. technical and socio-cultural. Both are important for the success of the organization.
