Union's in our workforce- A union is termed by different names, worker's union or labour union.They have a significant positive impact in our workforce as they help workers to negotiate with the employers on various aspects like wages, working hours, benefits derived and other working conditions. Keeping this point in view, the following are the key accomplishments and significant benefits we enjoy today because of the unions:

1) Collective bargaining - Unions have the power to shape their working lives through collective bargaining. This leads to wage increase, better access to health care, safety enhancement of the work place and reasonable working hours.

2) Economic equality & social rights - They have promoted higher levels of economic equality and social rights of all citizens. They have also contributed in democratizing the economics of nations.

3) Standards of education - Learning is a continuous process. It helps to determine our knowledge, both theoretical as well as practical in the subject concerned. Training helps us to master in the field of our work where there is no room for any doubt regarding our field work  

4) Workplace safety - Employers spend money in training their workforce so that it improves the moral of the workmen and boosting of productivity. When the employers treat their workforce as a member of the family, take care of them, then everyone is benefitted. The need for cooperation, better equipment, better training and knowledge will help the organization to prosper.

5) Higher wages - Higher the wages more will be the contentment and satisfaction within the worker. Union plays a very inportant role in providing better ways as compared to the non-union. They enjoy consistent rise in their pay on a regular basis.

6) Desirable benefits - Desirable benefits are enjoyed by the union workers in the field of health, paid sick leave, retirement account, pension etc.

7) Productivity - It increases the productivity of an organization through proper training and work culture.

8) Competitiveness - Unions help us to maintain competition in the market.

9) Recession - Unions heps in restricting the number of workers at the time of recovery from recession.

Being a member of an union gives a positive impact, significant benefit, professional training and meetings which a worker is entitled to. It ia rightly said that union is strength. Union gives strength to the humble because we know that united we stand and divided we fall.
