Both management and leadership are the tasks of leading a team in a well planned manner and both of them needs similar skills like communication. Both the terms relate to a person who makes a team carry out a task and makes the team go in a smooth way. However a leader makes the team follow them while a manager makes the team work for them. A leader works along with the team while a manager might not. Amanager gives instructions while a leader helps the team in executing the instruction by working along with them. A leader need not be a manager but a manager must definately be a leader to make the team work effectively.
