Management of employee welfare: Article of Jan 2016 by Dr. S. Ravi and J. A. Raja

In older times, personnel management held a very limited place in industrialization. But continous developments in management systems made personnel managament an important tool for efficient operations in the business. Employee welfare is a part of industrial relation that gives an employee the physical, mental and general well being and satifaction from his job that a wage cannot do. The attitude of the employers at the corporate level and how they deal with their employment policies and implement them for the welfare of the employees is essential. These welfare measures taken for the employees help the employees as a motivation and commitment to stay in the job and work towards for the productivity and growth of the company.
