A. Added sugars are the sugar carbohydrates that are added to food and beverages during the time of production. These sugars are chemically differ from naturally occurring sugars. It has little nutritional value also.
B. As per diatery guidelines added sugars should not be more than 10% of the daily calories. ie for a 2000 calorie diet,the contribution from added sugars should not be more than 200 calories.
