Patient navigation role is a community based service that helps the patients to communicate about their illness with their health care provider. They promote the timely diagnosis, treatment planning of some chronic diseases such as cancer. They helps to get information and helps to make decision about the treatment planning. They also provides services such as set up appointments to doctors and other treatment procedures such as medical tests and to get other financial, legal and social support. Patient education and family education also included in this.  

This is a very helpful role in a badly affected patients life. So patient navigators should understand the feelings and situation of the patient and work and help accordingly. This is a job that notonly aim the scope or income , more than that this is a service, service to the needed ones.
