what is the conclusion of this patient ABG lab result, PH:7.32, PaCO2:47, HCO3:18 ,is it a metabolic or respiratory problem? Explain?

In given ABG interpretation PH level is 7.32 its less than normal so it was Acidosis. PCO2 level is high in Respiratory problems. So it was respiratory acidosis.

Acidosis is caused by an over production of acid that build up in the blood and by build up of carbon dioxide in the blood that resultsfrom the poor lung function or depressed breathing leads to respiratory acidosis. Respiratory acidosis is a condition that occurs when the lung can't remove enough of the carbon dioxide produced by the body. Excess CO2 causes the PH of blood and other bodily fluids to decrease, make too acidosis.
