Alcoholism is an abuse of addiction to that drink and cause irritating effect on the digestive system , which results in the stomach ulcers and cause damage of epithelium around stomach.

These results in the vomitings, diarrhea and even bleeding.

Alcohol is absorbed throughout the digestive tract, our digestive system has to work extra time to digest or absorb the alcohol, apart from lipids, carbohydrates , etc.

Alcohol is directly absorbed into the blood stream and alcohol metabolism is mainly converted into toxic substance called acetaldehyde.

Liver mainly converts alcohol into toxic material.

Alcohol mainly affects stomach acid production these can affect stomach ability to destroy the bacteria which enter the stomach .

Cause damge to stomach lining resulting inflammation and lesions.

Automatically digestion is slowed down.
