Infanticide with post partum depression

Answer #1

Postpartum psychosis or depression is a mood disorder with characteristics like over-suspicious ideas, auditory hallucinations, or mixed thinking. These mothers occasionally injure themselves or their kids during this mood disorder.

These mothers are really unwell and need treatment, not disciplining. They might be insecure about their incapacity to take care of the baby, anxiety of whether they would be able to love the baby or it could be also due to any hallucinations of someone trying to take their baby or to have eternal security, makes the postpartum depression mothers take such a step of killing their own kid.
