An elederly patient admitted with the complaint of acute onset of fever,abdominal pain assosiated with tenderness in left flank region,also had painful urination,dysuria.He was admitted for evaluation .Diagnostic tests include urine anlaysis and culture done ,radiological view of abdomen and kidney shows presence of two medium sized renal calculi ,and signs of pylonephritis in the left kidney.In urine culture presence of Escherichia coli identified ,and dignosed as urinary tract infection assosciatrd with Escherichia coli infection.The e.coli is sensitive to antibiotic ciprofloxacin.
