Pros of Britanny Maynard story to end her life on her own terms :

On November first, cancer patient Brittany Maynard followed through on long held plans to end her life.

Maynard made use of a controversial Oregon law permitting physician assisted suicide. Maynard didn't want to subject herself and her family to the kind of suffering cancer patients can endure in the final days of their lives. With her husband's and family's blessing Maynard set a date to die and on that day took the lethal pills that ended her life.

With the legalization of physician assisted suicide, far fewer terminally ill patients would die in unbearable pain and without dignity. They would be able to live the last days and weeks of their lives in a way they choose.

Without assisted suicide many people die long and painful deaths in places where they may not be comfortable or may not be able to see their families. With assisted suicide these people can die with dignity, feeling fulfilled and comforted.

Cons of brittany Maynard story of ending her life on her own terms :

Maynard’s story is tragic. Either path that she could have chosen to take would have been heartbreaking. But her recent decision to die raised a difficult to answer question. Do we have the right to die?

Although assisted suicide is not intended for people who are merely depressed little is being done to prevent the drugs from getting in the hands of the suicidal.

We don’t always realize how special this unity is. Life is sacred. We see countries on the news with exceedingly low life expectancies because of poverty and disease. History has shown extremist movements that have portrayed human life as expendable and no more than a political resource. We believe suicide destroys the life we work so hard to preserve.

Assisted suicide is a slippery slope. Imperative precautions as safeguards for patients are not being taken. Under the current careless procedure these drugs could so easily get into the wrong hands. Lethal medication will be dealt across the nation and abused. Even those who legally receive the medication may take it under the assumption that they will die soon. when most live long passed their diagnosed death date without pain due to misdiagnosis. We also have to take account of the life saving medical miracles that occur every day. Life is precious and should not be disposed of so casually.

Possible longterm risks of humanity :

1.On the scale of civilization it is difficult to test empirically the assertions of those who say we are living in a short-termist age. Future historians may have a clearer view. But we can still perceive the lack of longer-term thinking from which our society suffers.

2.Traditional disaster risk prevention has a concept of risk factors. These factors are not risks in and of themselves, but they increase either the probability or the magnitude of a risk.

3.Artificial intelligence, global warming, nuclear war and rogue biotechnology are some of the risks to humanity.

A boundary or limit that may lead to ethical resolve is :

Preserving humanity in the present technological age can be a challenge for all health care workers, but perhaps particularly for staff working within an intensive care environment.

the human race can only survive if all of us become non-religious. Atheism is the only hope for humanity.

Limit consumption. Reduce the amount of natural resources we use to ensure we preserve the human habitats.

Dedicate sufficient resources to space exploration.c

Encourage participation in DNA preservation projects.

Take steps to adapt to inevitable climate change and prepare for the natural disasters that will be a consequence of a warmer planet.

Ensure that laws and safeguards are in place too prevent human integration with artificial intelligence

How would you respond to this post? As mentioned, managers are rotated annually and their income is dependent upon the direct contribution margin of that store. Contribution margin is “the revenue minus certain costs” (Schneider, 2017, Section 1.7, “Contribution Margin and Its Many Variations,” para. 1).
