Summarize the following types of diets. Full liquid diet, Pureed Diet, Dysphasia diet, Restricted Modified diet, Gastric Bypass Diet.

1. FULL LIQUID DIET:- it is made up only of fluids and foods that turn of liquid at room temperature. E.g. icecream

Example- Tea,fruit juice etc.

2. PUREED DIET:-it refers to the all food that has been processed into a smooth, paste, with a consistency that resembles a thick pudding.

E.g all liquids, yoghurt,cooked cereal.

3. DYSPHAGIA DIET:- it refers to the diet containing only pureed or pudding like foods.

- it avoids coarse food textures.

4. RESTRICTED MODIFIED DIET:-

- it is a variety of special diets that limit the amount of calories, fat, salt and other substances based on the patient’s medical needs.

- For example-a restricted fat diet allows only low-fat versions of milk, cheese etc.

5. GASTRIC BYPASS DIET:-

-this type of diet is for the the individual who are recovering from gastric bypass surgery to help them heal and change their eating habits.
