Answer #1

Answer to question# 1)

  1. Available data may be true may be anecdotal. It is not that it is always anecdotal. Sometimes the available data relates to facts and figures which are true and fair to full extent and hence they are reliable. But at times the available data may not be true and hence anecdotal. This it is important to find the source of the available data before using it for any analysis.
  2. A census is a survey that includes every unit of the population, where as a sample survey does not cover all units of the survey.
  3. A sample survey may be merely observational as well. A sample study can be divided into two parts: observational study and experimental study. The observation study involves no control or experiment on the environment. Whereas the experimental study involves controlling and manipulating the actual environment to conduct the research.
