SOCIAL MARKETING:-
- It is the application of proven concepts and techniques drawn
from the commercial sector to promote changes in the diverse
socially important behaviours as drug use, smoking,sexual
behaviour.
4 P's of SOCIAL MARKETING:-
(i) PRODUCT:-service provided to support behavior change..
-Examples - blood pressure monitoring kits, improved HIV
tests,cessation counseling.
(ii) PRICE:- interventions that would decrease the costs to the
individual of taking the desired action.
-Example- regular exercise program.
(iii)PLACE:- it describes where and when individual will access
the new product/service.
-Example- condom vending machines.
(iv) PROMOTION:-application of researches to determine the communication channels and activities to reach to the individuals.
