Is there a specific population whose assisted-living needs are not being met adequately?
Assisted living needs are given to the people who are not able to do daily activities by themself like mental retardation persons, elderly people, critically ill patients, etc. Assisted living includes personal hygiene, medication, bathing, feeding, mobilization, etc. As compared to other populations, the specific population whose assisted living needs are not being met adequately is the elderly population. Now a day the son or daughter does not want to take care of elder people because of busy work schedule or any personal issue. So they used to keep them in the nursing home or elderly home to take care of them. As they are weak, the caregivers are not giving care the same as giving in the home. This leads to a lack of care or assisted living needs. Some elder people who are poor and have no one to take care of lead to a lack of assisted living needs.
