Why does it seem that “house” diets are not consistent with the Dietary guidelines for Americans for healthy eating (e.g. low in saturated fat, high in fiber)?
Americans diet mostly consist of corn flakes and rich bran and fruits and meat. What happens is meat has good nutrition but other foods such as corn flakes are high in saturated fats, low on proteins and even less fibers are present. Mostly carbohydrates are present in the food and that is not the only macro nutrient body requires. Even fried foods are important part of their diet also has low unsaturated fats and body requires high unsaturated fats that are considered as healthy fats and that is why house diet are not consistent wohh the dietary guidelines for Americans healthy eating.
