poor nutrition and economic

poor nutrition and economic

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer: Good nutrition is essential for proper health and well-being. Inappropriate quantity and quality of food in the diet leads to poor nutrition. Economics greatly determines the nutrition that a population has. If the economy is poorly developed, there is a chance of poor nutrition. People who have fewer wages are subjected to higher health problems; this is because of poor nutrition. In high-income countries there is less observation of poor nutrition, rather cases of overnutrition are seen. The high cost of foods is a barrier to low-income people. The rapid increase in the food price in the past few years is a serious concern for food security throughout the globe. This has impacted the population health and nutritional status. In developing countries, mortality is directly related to protein and energy malnutrition.
