Humans are an open system because it undergoes various inputs and outputs. Input means our body takes food ,oxygen as inputs and excrete carbon dioxide and other waste products as outputs. There is always a transmission of energy going on in our body.

Human patients represent as a open system to bacterial infection because the immunity of the person is compromised and it is the period when most of the organisms can invade the body easily and multiply to cause disease.
