Compare and contrast a closed internal recruitment system with an open internal recruitment system.

The main difference between two systems is that, under the open internal recruitment system all the employees are aware about the job openings in the organization through a job posting and bidding system, and under Closed internal recruitment system the employees are not aware of job opening s and therefore don’t the opportunity to apply. In closed the manager directs touch with HR to fill a job, HR search files for find out the people with requisite skills and qualification and sends to the manager. The closed system is faster and less expensive as compare to open system. In open system the time and cost will be reduced and there is little need of advertisement.

Advantage of internal recruitment system:

• It is less costly.
• Candidate already knows the culture of the organization.
• Good performance is rewarded.
• It enhances the employee’s morale and motivation.
