The possible causes for pain during intercourse include;

Postmenopausal atropic vaginitis; leading to vaginal infections and painful intercourse.

The sexually transmitted disease such as; Gonorrhea Yeast infection in the v agina

Pelvic inflammation

Inflammation of the cervix

Endometriosis

For helping the patient get more comfortable with intercourse and reduce pain we should get a proper diagnosis done using evidence-based practice. After the diagnosis, the proper treatment should be done to remove the pain. The patient must be educated about the treatment and made to go through the diagnostic tests to ascertain the exact cause so that a proper treatment should be given.
