It is a mnemonic derived from a clinical research question.

Different aspects of PICOT are :
P– Population
It is the subjects we choose for our study.
I– Intervention
It refers to the treatment the provided to subject we choose in your study.
C– Comparison
It identifies what you plan on using as a reference group to compare with your treatment intervention.
Many study designs refer to this as the control group.
O– Outcome
it represents what result you plan on measuring to examine the effectiveness of your intervention.
T) – Time describes the duration for your data collection.
