A person is considered epileptic when has unprovoked seizures; that can’t be explained by a medical condition such as fever or substance withdrawal occur. Seizures may be the result of a family tendency toward the disease, or they may occur after a brain injury, the exact cause of epilepsy is largely unknown. Abnormal, excessive, and hypersynchronous electrical discharge of neurons as seen in Epileptic seizures (Goldenberg, ‎2010). Hence if seizures occur in an adult without any apparent cause it can be due to Epilepsy.
