2)why suspension is not stable explain it in detail

Answer #1

All suspensions including emulsions are inherently thermodynamically unstabe . they will through random motion of the particles over time agregate because of the natural and dominant tendency to decrease the large specific surface area and exess surface energy,It is important to understand that suspensions are kinetically stable but thermodynamically unstable system. Physical stability is defined as the condition in which the particles remain uniformly distributed through the dispersion without any signs of sedimentation. There fot local changes in concentration and global changes in size are detected and monitored in the suspension for the primary importance in the analysis of stabilty in particles suspension is value of the zeta potential exhibited by suspended solids. This parameter indicates the magnitude of interparticle electrostatic repulsion and is commonly analyszed.
