Umbilical cord stem cells are collected immediately after the birth of child and store it appropriately for further use. I can be used to treat the haematological disorders in the same child, it help to avoid the allergic reactions.

It also use to treat the non haematological disorders such as osteopetrosis, Lesch-Nyhan disease etc.

Osteopetrosis is a bone disease caused by genetic factors. It result in the abnormal dense and bones get easily fractured. Due to the mutations that interfere with the acidification of the osteoclast resorption pit. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is the only therapy which provide long term beneficials.

Lesch-Nyhan disease is occur due to the overproduction of uric acid in the body. The disease is characterized by behavioral and neurological abnormalities. Symptoms such as kidney stone, inflammatory arthritis, bladder stone etc. are occur.
