CONCEPT OF PLURALITY

Pluralism is a belief in difference.A philosophy supporting diversity , religious tolerance and multiculturalism

Plurality is referred to cultural pluralism

When smaller groups within a larger society mantain their unique cultural identities and their values and practice are accepted by wider dominant culture provided they are consistent with the laws and values of wider society

Pluralism is a phenomenon where majority section of society accept the culture of minorities in society. Plurality means different society and their mutual co existence

In pluralist culture groups not only coexist side by side but also consider qualities of other groups as traits worth having in dominant culture

Pluralism is possible only if minority community are accepted by larger strata society . Oftenly the acceptance of culture may require that new or minority culture remove some aspects of the culture which is incompatible with the laws and values of dominant culture

So there is a need for various models and concept of pluralism in managing educational organisation
