Primary Research.

Researchers collect data directly rather than from previous research. Such type of research are called primary research. It requires in depth analysis.

Methods.

* Interviews. It is a qualitative research method. This may be done either telephonic or face to face. The questions are always open ended. Face to face interview get better response in this method. Success of face to face interview depends on researcher's ability to make quality questions, ability to ask questions and experience of conducting such interviews. Time taken for personal interviews may vary. It may take more time depending upon the subject of research. Telephonic interviews are done in a short time and then also the researcher collect data.

*Online surveys. This type of surveys are popular and relatively low cost.Online surveys can be sent by email and filled out online. In this method, stipulated time is given to the respondent to answer the questions. This method use both open ended and closed ended questions. It should not be a lengthy process.

* Focus cards. In this method method there will be a group of expert people and the researcher gives a topic. The people discus the subject and make opinions. The group contain 6-10 expert people. The researcher collects the opinions as datas. In organisations or in business this method is used.

* Observations. In primary research there will be no direct interaction between the researcher and the person. Researcher focus on reaction and makes notes. To record reactions a trained observer or cameras are used.
