The effects of asthma on ADL's (activities of daily living):

Asthma is the reversible blockade of respiratory pathways, which causes difficulty in breathing out. This causes tightness in the chest region, dyspnea, and expiratory wheezing.

Asthma influences the activities of daily living because the person has to identify the asthma triggers and stay away from the triggers. For example, if the asthma is triggered by cold weather, the outdoor walks during a cold weather must be avoided. Similarly, if a particular floor cleaning solution is triggering asthma, the patient must stay away from that. Similarly, the patient also has to carry the preventive medicine such as the salbutamol inhalers along with them, and practicing the breathing exercises will be helpful to the patient.
