Does the new ( Cerner) system satisfy the requirements for technical interoperability?

Cerner does allow for interoperability for Community Hospital and also the newly acquired physician practices. Cerner system is compatible in both a hospital setting as well as primary care/physician offices. The main reason Cerner was selected was because it allows physicians to login from numerous locations; this is essential as physicians may be working at both the hospital and the physician office. Cerner also integrated CommonWell Health Alliance with their EHR system, which allows patients to be identified and linked as they transfer from different care facilities. This software feature allows physicians to easily streamline important health information such as patient records and other care documents regardless of where the care was received. Another feature Cerner provides is that it has an online resource showing applications that are compatible with their software.
