In case of suspected or actual abuse in the workplace the
following process has to be done immediately or at the earliest to
initiate necessary action on the abuser
- Ensure the difference between abuse and professional
relationship first to make an official complaint
- Inform the immediate supervisor to prevent any further abuse by
the abuser
- Go through the rules and regulations and the protocols to
report abuse
- Ensure to have a witness
- An anonymous written report has to be submitted
- A private meeting will be conducted by the organisation as per
the protocol
- If the company does not initiate any action,then with no second
thought report the abuse to the Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission for necessary legal actions on the abuser.
