A knowledge worker is a person who work with the information and generates this information and knowledge to a product. Usually this person has a formal education and applies theoretical and analytical knowledge. Nurses become a knowledge worker by involving in nursing school, assessment, laboratory works, teaching patients and continuously educating themselves. The nurse continues to gain knowledge by continuing education, updating themselves with the newer trends and technology and setting up goals. They gain experience from clinical, working area, simulation and drills.
