Answer #1

Answer 1: One of the major difference between left- and right- sided heart failure as :

  • The left sided heart failure: In this case the left ventricle of the heart becomes unable to pump sufficient amount of the blood to the body. This results into building up of the blood in the blood vessels i.e. pulmonary veins. This condition increases the breath shortness specially at the exercise.
  • The right sided heart failure: The right sided heart failure usually occurs due to the left sided heart failure. In this case the right ventricle of the heart becomes too weak to pump the blood in to the lungs. This causes the build in the blood vessels which carry the blood back to the heart from the organs. This also causes build up fluid in the legs causing edema.
