The administered medication was the opioid medication. Opioid are the analgesic medicine it act by binding the opioid receptor on the nerve cell in the brain, spinal cord and other parts of the body and it cause release of dopamin and it block the pain sensation .
The commonly prescribed opioid are,

3)hydromorphine
4)methadone
5)morphine

Opioid analgesic overdose can have life threatening toxic effect in entire system of the body. The main manifestation of opioid intoxication is dizziness, drowsiness ,slowed breath, respiratory depression .Respiratory depression leads hypoxia and it will affect brain cause comma and sudden death.
Management of opioid intoxication
Immediate care is needed for opioid intoxication, otherwise it leads to sudden death of patient.
:ventilate the patient by using bag-valve mask.
:oxygen administration is necessary to prevent hypoxia.
:chin lift and jaw thrust maneuvers position should be provided to the patient, it help to reduce hypercapnea .
:administration of nalaxone . Nalaxone is opioid receptor antagonist and it is the powerful antidote for opioid overdose. This drug block the activity of opioid so respiratory function recovered soon. Single dose is needed for revered back of respiratory function.
Incubation and mechanical ventilation is needed for seriously ill client.
