Answer. Mastectomy is the removal of one or both breasts if the patient has cancer or is at very high risk of acquiring it. It is considered to be a major surgery, which is followed by regular checkups of heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure for at least 2 to 3 weeks minimum. So, the stay in hospital is must and regarding its food, it is important to eat hospital diet meals Beacuse these meals are patient specific.

The diet of the patient should be perfectly nutritious and well-rounded, which will help to recover from the side effects of chemotherapy, and also helps to maintain energy and support the immune system. In this case, already the patient has the complaint of poor appetite, so the amount of food which is eaten by the patient should be appropriate according to her health conditions, which is only suggested by doctors or dieticians according to her surgical aspects.
