Mentoring is sharing knowledge ,life expierience,skills to guide another towards reaching their full potential.it can be formal or informal and may change and evolve the needs of the mentee change.

Nurse mentora are needed to provide guidance and share their clinical experiences to help new nursed gain confidence in the field of health care.

The benefits of mentoring are, being helped to identiify and achieve career goals,being encouraged and empowered in personal development,developing and maintaining a broader perspectivve on carrer optiions and opportunities,increase the confidence.

Mentoring relationship is the relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development.

In good mentor mentee relationship mentee celeberate their relationship, small and big victories that they created togetherly.

Effective mentors demonstrate confidence,commitment,competence by building onthe strenth of the mentee and allowing to develop according to his career goals.

The barriers of mentoring are organisational culture,lack of time and resources,resistance from senior management,lack of understanding of the values of mentoring,low level of skills and experience with the organization
