There can be occurrence of fasciculations as well as paralytic ileus in the individual.
hypoventilation, as well as hypotension can be evidently seen in the individual if hypokalemia is severe . ECG are also present in the individual with the changes that typically include the ST segment sagging as well as , T wave depression, and also the U wave elevation.
Intervention for hypokalemia
the client has to be put on a high-potassium diet to elevate the potassium level . If the increase in the dietary potassium of the individual is not sufficient the it has to be to treated by providing with oral potassium supplements to the individual. An individual who is not able to take oral supplements should be given I.V. potassium replacement therapy.
