As we end the quarter, let us look back and evaluate ourselves. Think about how you feel completing your first nursing course at Fortis.

This assignment is mandatory for completion of this course.

• Discuss two things you have learned this quarter
• Discuss two areas you could focus on moving into next quarter
• What advice would you give next quarter students who are enrolled in this course
• What are your future plans when you graduate Fortis and become an RN

Q:- how do you feel about nursing process ADPIE ?

Nursing process is a systematic was of identifying the patient illenss and setting up a priority of there illeness from most severe to mild and the diagnosis is made and treatment plan is set and implimented to have a better evaluation .

The nursing process helps the nurse to assess the need of patinet and provide a zone of comfort based on the priority of care.

All the patient needs are assed and care is provided and is evaluated for a good outcome

Q:-Discuss two things you have learned this quarter ?

a) History collection and physical examinations

History collection and systemic physical examinations plays a major role in understanding client illness .As a nurse she should be well know avout the patient history which includes the Demographic data ,present medical history,past medical history,present surgical history,past surgical history ,family history,family tree,family composition and personal history. Physical examination includes in detailed head to foot examination including the systemic examination.

b) Forming a ADPIE careplan

once we assess the patient we get the subjective and objective data of the patient . The obtained data helps us to form a diagnosis and we plan the care of action and we impliment it suddenly based to the priority of the client as we know the first priority is A ,B ,C .....ie, Airway ,Breathing ,and Ciculation ;then all other needs are as assessed again on a priority basis . The section of ADPIE helped a lot to take correct action towards correct need of patient and avoiding a mess in prioritising the care and plan of action.

Q:-Discuss two areas you could focus on moving into next quarter ?

a) Special systemic care:- i would like to foccis more on the systemic care like conditions of different systems like cardiac system ,respiratory system ,Gastrointestinal system etc .. that helps me to understand better about each system anatomy covered in the first quarter and to know more about the conditions that affects each system and the method of diagnosis and treatment and plan of care.

b)Pharmacology :- here i would like to know different classifications of drugs and which drug can be administered for which conditions and there mechanisms of action and indications and contraindications including there side effects . This would help me in advancing in my Nursing profession to be an expert nurse.

Q:-What advice would you give next quarter students who are enrolled in this course ?

a)To involve more into the subjecta nd understand it best because the foundation is everything what we need to proceed

b) to have a good understanding of the Anatomy and Physiology because we all deal with that in future

c) Understanding the need of client and empathy towards them to provide a good care and support

d) To understand nursing is a service oriented profession which needs a lot of humanity ,patience and grattitude with empathy to give a best possible care

e)Referring books to clarify the doubts and no doubts should be left behind because its all about human not a machine .

Q:-What are your future plans when you graduate Fortis and become an RN ?

I must be a good ,helpful and reliable Nurse who care for the client and support them and clear them out of their illeness . Also i will privide a level best care for my clent by considering their needs ,rights and there priorities and i would hav sympathy and empathy on them . I would like to continue my whole career being a nurse and serving the people because i could save many lives. Thinking further about the career i would like to have a speciality nursing in certain special fields like oncology etc... Anyhow my carrer is completely set for providing a warm wealth for my clients.
