Patient should ne allowed to rest before gatting up,to avoid sudden loss of concsiousness and giddiness.reasons are,

1)as the patient was lying his bp will be normal ,and on waking up suddenly will induce orthostatic hypotension resulting in giddiness and loss of consciousness.

2) the patinet might have has lost some amount of fluid part and this leads to reduced blood flow to the vital organs like brain,causing blackouts or loss of consciousness

2. The instructions to be given are,

a)avoid strenuous activies for some time

b)Drink plenty of liquids that will compmesate for any loss in fluid comparent of the system
