This insulin is better to be taken at the same time each day .

The instructions to check the blood sugar levels should be given to the patient

. The patient should not change the dosage as needed without the instruction from a health care member .

Main steps to follow are

1) initially we have to clean our skin site specifically with the help of an alcohol swab at the site that is selected for injection of lantus medication

2) then the skin should be gently pinched at the site that is selected for the injection of the medication

3)Pierce that specific site with the lantus insulin pen.

4) then the plunger button should be pushed until it meet the pen  

The site should be rotates as needed
