I heard that there is a maximum amount of money a college will take in grants....

I heard that there is a maximum amount of money a college will take in grants. If I have gotten 20,000$ worth of grant money can am i able to use it all to pretty much get free college? example- I get a pell grant for 5k then i get texas grant for 10k, and fseog for 5k, will i get to use all of the money? EFC(expected family contribution) would be very low.

Yes. You can be eligible for all the three grants i.e. pell grant, texas grant, and fseog grant. If you fulfill the respective grants requirements then you will get the grants. And you can use all of the money. And the grant money can only be used towards tuition and fees normally assessed; books, supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses; living expenses such as room and board; and an allowance for costs expected to be incurred for dependent care for a student with dependents. Because the grants are available to support students who are in financial need.
