A routing table entry which maintains reverse path is removed after a time out interval. This time out should be long enough to allow PREP(Route Reply) to come back.
A routing table entry which maintains forward path is removed if not used for active_route_timeout interval.
Time out used in AODV are :
i) active_route_timeout
A routing table entry which maintains forward path is removed if not used for active_route_timeout interval.
That is if no data is being sent using a particular routing table entry, that entry is removed from the routing table.
ii) My_route_timeout
This timeout is used to define your route.
My_route time should be be twice the active_route_timeout.
