It is more likely that a senior citizen will be involved in a car accident than need long term care. TRUE OR FALSE

Homework Answers

Answer #1

False

A recent research by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration determines that drivers between the ages of 50-69 had the lowest involvement in car accidents of any age group and only 5% of drivers over the age of 69 were involved in an accident. It is because they have learnt the skill of safe-driving for very long. At some point of time, around 50% of the elderly needs long term care. Thus, it is more likely that a senior citizen will need long term care than meeting with a car accident.
