Scheduled appointments convey the meaning that the doctor's presence is confirmed for attending a particular patient. Patient will have reduced waiting time and Doctor will have an assured patient to attend to. During these kind of scheduled appointments when there is a no call no show from patients, primary clinic care tend to lose their profits that would have been generated by attending the patient.

The opportunity cost of attending a for sure patient is lost due to a no call no show of scheduled appointment. Hence this will drastically impact the revenue generated in for profit primary healthcare clinics. Time gets wasted, revenue generation does not happen and opportunity for another patient meeting the Doctor is missed.

Hence there will be a drastic drop in profits when there is no call no show by patient for scheduled appointments.
