With regards to Whole Foods in the United States verses in Africa, what product changes would there be?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Whole Foods is a US-based supermarket chain which has its stores in the US, UK, and Canada. If Africa also had Whole Foods, then there will be some changes in the products being sold in the US and Africa.

Firstly, the major change will be in the prices of the products. The products will be cheaper in Africa as compared to the US because the former is an underdeveloped country and the latter is a developed country.

Secondly, the products in Whole Foods Africa will have the majority of the products Africa-based and the US chain will have the majority of the products US based. For example- African Whole Foods will have Arabica coffee and the US outlets will have Nescafe.

Note- This does not mean that US Whole Foods will not have Arabica Coffee or Africa one will not have Nescafe but the majority of the products will belong to the respective regions.
