Medicare is a health insurance program in America for older people (65 and older) and people with disabilities. This means medicare gives financial assistance to these subscribers in case of medical requirements. Medicare benefits include hospital insurance, medical service insurance, costs for prescription drugs, and medicare health plans.

Medicaid is a health insurance program for low-income people in the USA. So, here income is a criterion rather than disability or age. Also, Medicaid provides certain additional benefits, which are not given by Medicare, such as nursing home care and personal care services.
